I have to confess that one of the reasons I started SiammPatra Fashion Jewelry is because I fell in love with the look and impact of big styles. I used to love the look of combining different styles, but I was annoyed by the process. Here are the reasons why I choose a maximalist jewelry style and decided to create my own;
As you know, minimalist jewelry is trending now, but it is too small to be seen! Bar and coin necklaces and bracelets are carved with small encouraging words, but many times I can't read what they are until I stare at them! And because the pieces are very small, they often can't be seen and people don't notice what I'm wearing. At the same time, the fashion industry places value in expression of layering necklaces and bracelets. They show beautiful pictures and even give instructions on how to make it work beautifully and effortlessly, but believe me, it needs a lot of tlc and patience to make it look the way I want people to think is effortless. And lets face it, if I were just posing for a photo as the models do, then no worries, but I have places to go and people to meet. My life isn't standing still, and with movement comes tangled jewels. And at the end of the day, I just want a peaceful way to unwind and not spending the most frustrating 15 minutes untangling the mess around my neck and wrists. Add another 10 minutes spent on compiling the stacks every morning before I leave the house. There should be a rule of thumb for standard size closures on jewelries! Obviously dainty ones are not meant for those with long nails or manicures.
So I began my first collection to solve all of these problems, plus I love playing with contrast; mainly of rich texture and colorful materials; fabrics, threads, crystals, and rhinestones. I put them all together using imagination and inspiration from my homeland-culture, craft, tropical climate, etc. Early on I chose to work with embellished and handcrafted bracelets, which I can stack together in the blink of an eye. The closure is magnet, so it's very easy to put on and take off. I call my statement jewelry "the-go-to jewelry" because I can wear it while I'm walking or stuck in traffic.
Bold and edgy fashion jewelry can express my confidence towards fashion and my lifestyle.
I feel beautiful wearing it.
I feel different.
I feel like I'm standing out from the crowd.
I feel I deserve to be seen in the world and express my own way of life.
I just feel free and you can imagine how many times my maximalist jewelry style becomes a conversation starter and it introduces me to new people! I can't stop talking about all good reasons for the maximalist jewelry style! I don't know how to explain it better, how I feel all this joy, unless you try it yourself!
