As Wild As The Wind

As Wild As The Wind

Hello December! "Are you kidding me? Has another great year already passed us by?"

America started for me about two and a half years ago. I was excited, happy and nervous. I didn't know how my life would be here in a foreign country where everyone speaks English and I almost think Spanish is the second language. I was very scared and thought I would never fit in here. But look at me now, "I just want to be myself. I don't care what people think (or at least less). Which brings me to my next point...

"Who goes to a beach in winter?" Me! There is no one here and I am not counting the birds. I love the picture of emptiness and wild abandonment when the winter months descend to clean-up the once human-contaminated shoreline. It's cold - I feel the wildness of the wind. Growing in a tropical country, wearing colors become instinctual, they are my first decision when it comes time to dress-up. The same process translates to my jewelry, "I am making jewelry for women with personality." Using colors to express individuality and fun.  So clothes and jewelry enhance the moment to enjoy life, and what's wrong with that? There are so many fresh ways to wear the faux fur jackets with the cool pants and make your own version.

And I always wanted something bigger and better, and that reflects in my world of accessories. "Jewelry adds richness, another layer in the storytelling. Think of Elizabeth Taylor and Jackie Kennedy - Jewelry can make moments iconic," Kelly Framel once said. I can't agree more and as my story is unique, and so are my jewelry...

Hence, that is how Siammpatra began. Siam is the ancient name of my homeland, Thailand.  Patra is from Cleopatra, that we may all express our inner Queen and our bold individuality.

The strength of handmade-inspired jewelry highlights the cutting edge. Don't you agree?
